도스 모드에서는 정상적으로 화면이 뜨지만, 해상도가 올라가는 윈도우 화면에서 제대로 출력이 안되는 그래픽카드 불량 사례입니다. (자세한 내용은 위의 링크를 참고바랍니다.)

It's a strange symptom. In DOS mode, the screen appears, but when you enter Windows, the screen does not appear and only the black screen appears. The graphics card is defective. We have determined that the same symptoms are implemented on other computers (mainboards). 


The screen appears on the DOS screen, but the screen on the Windows screen is displayed in poor graphics card, and the screen on the DOS mode is expressed in a lower resolution than the normal resolution.

Fortunately, there was a built-in graphics chipset in the CPU. I was using the H410M-HVS mainboard. If you want to boot with CSM method, you will be asked to insert an external graphics card. (The built-in graphics seem to only support UEFI methods.) The message below appears. 


Before enabling CSM please install a PCIe graphics card

Windows is previously installed in a Legacy (CSM) way, so to activate the embedded graphics, it needs to be changed in UEFI way, which causes Windows (CSM) to be incompatible with the Mainboard Setup (UEFI). The CMS method is old, so I think it would be better to set the main board in UEFI method and install the window. I don't think we need to stick to UEFI and Legacy (like we installed Win 10 with CSM to create a recovery zone). The price range is still high to replace the graphics card, so I decided to use built-in graphics or used graphics while the price range is low, so I reinstalled it using Windows 10 UEFI method. The SSD didn't have any materials to back up, so I deleted them and reinstalled the windows.

Below is a scene where GT710 graphics card was inserted for testing and tried to boot the window. When GT710 graphics card was inserted, it could be used normally in the traditional Windows (CSM) method. It is cheaper to reinstall Windows 10 than to replace it with GT710, so we finished with Windows 10. I hope the graphics card comes back as soon as possible with the original price. 


 

 

When connected with GT710 graphics card, it was booted with CSM and the existing Windows 10 loaded normally. 

If you use the latest mainboard in CSM fashion, various devices may behave abnormally, so installing them in the latest UEFI window is better compatible with the latest mainboard.

Select disable to disable the integrated graphics when an external graphics card is installed. Select enable to keep the integrated graphics enabled at all times. However, only CPUs with embedded graphics chipsets are possible. CPU 10400F with F at the end of the CPU model name does not have a built-in graphics chipset. i5-10400 with built-in graphics!)

The graphic card above is not output only the screen, but the computer is operating normally. Generally, you have to check the computer screen with your eyes to activate the computer. Even if the screen is not output due to a faulty computer, there may be a way to verify that the computer is operating as follows: Windows XP, Windows 7, and other operating systems play the Windows start sound, so you can check if your computer is working with the Windows start sound. Windows 10 doesn't play music after starting, so you can check it with Kakao Talk's automatic login function. Alternatively, there is an apparent way to check if the computer is working with the LED as shown below.

1) First, check by blinking HDD LED etc. => LED blinks, which means the computer is calculating (loading).

2) Determine the number lock LED on the keyboard. = Communication (signal exchange) between the keyboard and the computer. 

As shown above, you can communicate with the computer using LED lights. No screen output, but at least it can be seen as a sign that the computer is working. Using these signals, you can find faulty parts of your computer.
