구형노트북은 SSD도 인식이 잘 안되는 경우도 있고 윈도우10 이랑 호환성도 떨어지는 경우도 있습니다. 

메모리도 빈약합니다. 

R610 노트북에서 크루셜 BX500 240GB 인식이 안되네요.

The notebook below is the Samsung laptop that was released around 2008. This model is called NT-R610-ASFHD. Windows is an old laptop released with Vista. Memory capacity is also a model with 2 gigabytes of memory + 1 gigabyte of memory = 3 gigabytes of memory in total. If you force this model to upgrade, you can upgrade SSD instead of HDD and replace memory with 2 gigabytes instead of 1 gigabyte. However, some old laptops can't be recognized when they are plugged in a low-end SSD. Occasionally, Windows 10 installation does not work properly. (We have confirmed that the laptops below are normally installed up to Windows 10 20H2. Some models may not be installed depending on the internal component.)

They only wanted a simple window reinstallation without upgrading SSD or memory, so I told them to leave it for about a day. The laptop specification is low, but it takes quite a long time to install Windows 10 on the hard disk, so it can't be installed on the same day, but it takes about a day. (There may be some defective parts in the middle, so the repair time is not short.) If there is no problem during the window installation process, it will be fixed on the same day, and if there is a problem in the middle, we need to take some action, but it's because the laptop is slow to proceed. Older laptops take a long time to install, but driver compatibility issues such as window updates and software installation errors are less compatible than new ones.)


 

It seems that the existing hard disk has been replaced once. The laptop was made in 2008, but the hard disk was made in 2011. 

Memory comes with 2GB DDR2 and 1GB DDR2 products. It's equipped with the 42nd week of 2008. 


If I install the windows with a hard disk, it's very late, so I was going to use the SSD for testing in the store to reinstall the windows. What's unique is that the BX500 240GB product is not recognized. The above mounted SSD looks like a 128GB SanDisk product.

I checked the CPU temperature after installing Windows 10, and it's over 80 degrees. 


It seems that we need to clean the inside of the laptop above and re-apply thermal grease. To disassemble and clean this laptop, the mainboard must be completely removed for cleaning and thermal grease re-application, making it difficult to disassemble at no additional cost. So, I cleaned it as much as I could to blow dust to the compressor. If you blow out the dust layer on the fan and the heat sink, the temperature can decrease a little.

When you repair old laptops, there are many places to fix them. The more it's repaired, the more expensive it is. I personally think it would be better to use a new laptop (investment) for the repair than to repair or upgrade an old laptop because it would be difficult to repair it at such a cost. In particular, laptops with low-power, low-spec CPU, such as cellorons and pantials, are not recommended for laptop upgrades because SSD and memory upgrades are often slower than expected.
