삼성노트북(NT500R5K-K82L) SSD 업그레이드

 

 

 

 

This is NT500R5K-K82L laptop. 

Dongtan Industrial Complex visited us for SSD upgrade. It's not that old because it's a 2015 product, but it's a laptop that's ambiguous to upgrade because the CPU is equipped with a celloran-class CPU. This is a laptop that the CPU cannot handle the SSD's speed. This is because even a single operation (processor) is lagging at CPU throughput because CPU utilization increases nearly 100%. 


Remove all screws on the back of the notebook and put them in one place. 


When you open the back cover of NT500R5K-K82L, 

you can see the structure as below. There is a separate memory slot, and I can see a slot that can fit the M.2 SSD. Since the SSD you brought is a SATA type SSD, we removed the existing hard disk and proceeded with the SSD replacement.

The hard disk power + data integration cable is a thin film, so when you peel off the double-sided tape, carefully tear it off. If it doesn't tear, don't use force to tear it apart. Slowly, carefully. I rip it off as much as I can. (If the double-sided tape doesn't come off well, I think it'll come off better if I heat it with a dryer.) I've never opened it that far, but I did it well while controlling my strength. Anyway, tear off the film cable so that it doesn't get damaged. Sharp knives, tweezers, etc. can be torn apart, so I don't think it'll be good to use.)


 

The hard disk cable was carefully disassembled from the main board and the hard disk steel guide double-sided tape was carefully torn. 

The warranty sticker was attached to the surface of the SSD and the hard disk guide was previously installed. 


 

SCG Solutions will provide warranty for 3 years. 

The existing hard disk was returned in a plastic case containing SSDs. 

If you buy an external hard case, you can recycle it as an external hard drive.

This is the process of reassembling the case that was decomposed. Make sure there are no gaps and close the lid well. It is recommended not to open the liquid crystal because the hinge is weak when the back screw is disassembled. The plastic with the hinge fixed is weak and crumbles. 


After confirming that the replaced SSD is recognized normally on the mainboard screen, we installed the Windows 10 20H2 64-bit operating system.

Because it is not enough space to divide the D drive with 240 giga, I set the whole C drive. 


Windows 10 Installation Screen

Windows runs normally after installing Windows 10, but even a single operation often increases CPU usage to 100%, making it difficult to multi-task. It would be suitable for simple office use, document editing, Internet article search, go-stop game, and video playback. When purchasing laptops, it is faster and better to purchase laptops with CPUs such as i3, i5, lisen3, and lizen5 than Celeron or Pantium CPUs. Of course, it's more expensive than the pantium, but... It's good because you can use it more quickly while using it.)
