This is an MSIMS-16GD notebook. During the SSD replacement process, it was easy to decompose, so we also carried out the thermal copper re-application process. 


Separate the heat shield on the CPU and graphics card. 


If you turn it upside down, you can see the thermoguris hardened like this. I wiped it clean from the trash can. 


Thermal copper is also on top of the CPU. It's hardened and can't do its job, so wipe it clean and reapply the new thermoguris. 


 

You don't need to apply too much new thermocompound. If it's pressed down, it'll spread out, so you don't have to apply too much. Squeeze a bean according to the size of the core. 


Didn't you forget to connect the power connector of the system cooler to cool the heat shield? After reconfirming, close the lid.
