The CPU specification of the computer is good, but it's a model equipped with a hard disk, so it's very slow to operate.
Windows was attached to the mainboard at the time of sale, so you can install the Windows 10 home edition and get the product authenticated through the Internet connection.
The model name is ASUS ET2321IUTH. The driver of Windows 8 version was posted on the homepage. The Windows 10 driver automatically caught the driver through Windows Update. (Usually, there are many products with a 1-year warranty, but it says 90 Day Limited Warranty.)
To open the back cover, I removed all the rubber caps and screws.
The plastic latch is being released as if the monitor was being disassembled.
You also removed the support for the monitor to rip off the back.
There is a connector connected inside, so I carefully opened the back lid of the monitor.
The lid on the monitor looks like this.
When I opened the back cover, it was not a laptop hard disk, but a hard disk for a regular death-stop.
Although there is a port on the bottom of the monitor pedestal that can be equipped with a 2.5-inch hard disk SSD, there is no bracket or support that can be fixed, so I removed the hard disk and installed the SSD. There is a slot where you can plug the mSATA (mini SSD) into the main board (mSSD does not have any good company products in stock). There are only products from small and medium-sized companies that are almost unknown left. Large companies such as Samsung have passed the M.2 SSD standard a lot.)
We are preparing to remove the desktop hard disk and mount the SSD.
We are comparing SSD with traditional hard disk. The slot is not cable-shaped but attached to the mainboard, so it's hard to move. There is a way to connect by using the extension cable, but if you keep extending the cable, it will cause errors, so the best way is to connect it directly. If you use SSD guides to fix the SSD and plug it into the hard disk fixation guide, the location of the Sata connector on the main board does not match each other, so we plan to fix it with double-sided tape and insulated vinyl tape instead of using the existing hard disk guide.
It's the Sata connector area on the mainboard. Since it's impossible to move, I'm planning to stick the SSD on the steel plate with double-sided tape plugged in.
I cut a sponge-shaped double-sided tape on one side and attached it. The adhesion is strong on the sponge, but the sponge itself is weak, so I think it would be good to remove it. If it is attached with 3M strong double-sided tape used for vehicles, it can be attached more firmly, but if it is too strong, it is difficult to tear, so it is fixed with sponge-type double-sided tape. And I fixed it with yellow insulated tape on the board so that it doesn't come out of the SATA port. I might be able to work on it next time. I left a note for your reference because someone else might be working on it. If I work on it, I'll work on it without a notepad, but I left a message for you to refer to it when you take it apart because other people might misunderstand it and break it.
This is the guide and screw for fixing the hard disk. I attached it together and put a guide on it because I have nowhere to use it. Later, I changed my mind, so you can use it when you use a 2.5-inch port or a mSATA port. (The model year of an integrated computer is over 6 years old, so if Samsung SSD doesn't fail, I think it's the last step to upgrade.))
I'm checking if the memory and CPU are recognized normally on the BIOS setting screen.
The additional SSD is also being recognized normally. The model name of the SSD is 860 EVO, but the middle was cut off due to the number of letters on the BIOS. On BIOS, even if the letters are cut like that, they are normally marked after installing windows.
The CPU temperature is also after the thermal copper re-application operation, so the proper temperature is coming out. 33 degrees
If you use it, the main board's settings might be initialized, so we adjusted the initialization settings and proceeded with the Windows 10 installation.
This is the Windows 10 installation screen. Samsung 250 gigabytes are recognized normally and partitions are being established normally.
Below, we are working on the thermal copper re-application of an old integral computer. Since all-in-one computers don't have much to open, so there's not much to open up to here, when I opened them up to here, I cleaned them together.
Remove the CPU heat shield and wipe away the hardened thermoguris.
The dust from the heat shield was blown from the outside into the compressor and dusted off the substrate.
Re-applied thermal compilation and re-assembled CPU cooler.
