This is your laptop that you visited to dismantle LG 13Z980, upgrade SSD capacity, and add D drive due to lack of C drive capacity. Usually, small and thin laptops do not have hard disk slots and only have one M.2 SSD slot... Fortunately, this laptop has two M.2 SSD slots. We were able to make a D drive by adding additional SSDs to the remaining M.2 SSD slots. 


LG 13Z980 decomposition internal appearance, the battery accounts for about half of it. It says 72Wh. Memory seems to be able to be upgraded as well. 

The plastic on the back of the laptop looks like below.

I don't think it's easy to open because it's thin and well bonded. The plastic latch is weak, so it can break easily while disassembling. 


I disassembled the battery connector and prepared the main board to prevent electricity and added an SSD. 

We have additional 500 giga of Samsung 970 EVOM.2 SSD NVMe type.

We confirmed that the existing 256GB product (MZNLN256HAJQ-00000) and the newly installed 500GB were normally recognized on the main board, and secured D drive capacity through Disk Manager after booting. 


We are checking SSD recognition on the 13Z980 mainboard.
