Since you are not installing an additional M.2 SSD, it is an option whether to sponge the additional M.2 SSD space or not, but you may upgrade the HDD to a sub M.2 SSD later, so I attached a sponge to insulate it for now. Attaching as intended by the producer sometimes solves unexpected errors. In the past, there was an insulation tape attached to the case inside the back panel of the laptop, but I opened it because I thought it was wrong, and it was attached to insulate the substrate from the back cover (aluminium). Skilled people should also refer to the manufacturer's manual (thoughts). Of course, the production may be crazy and there may be things you didn't think of, so I hope you improve it according to the situation.
